The STV-01 exact time server is used for realization of measurements of current actual date and time values. For actualization of date and time values STV-01 uses satellite communication navigation systems. “STV-01” is used in LAN/WAN/MAN networks, DAB/DVB broadcasting, DH mobile and fixed communication, NGN, LTE, WiMAX, in AIMSCEM, in security systems, in metrological systems, in industrial and energy production.
“STV-01” exact time server structurally consists of the following blocks connected with each other by cables:
- A control unit made in a metal case, placed in a telecommunication cabinet and labeled “STV-01 Exact Time Server”;
- GNSS signal receiver in a protected all-weather case;
- GNSS antenna.
Preparing for operation
The product is fully ready for its intended use upon completion of installation and commissioning work. Installation and commissioning works can be performed by representatives of the manufacturer, authorized service centers and Customer’s representatives trained by the manufacturer. During external inspection of the product it is necessary to check
- completeness of the product in accordance with the form (passport);
- absence of visible mechanical damage;
- cleanliness of sockets, connectors and terminals;
- condition of connecting wires, cables, adapters;
- condition of paint coatings and clarity of markings;
- absence of disconnected or poorly secured modules of the product (determined visually or by ear when changing the position of the product).
A exact time server is a complex designed to receive a reference time scale and synchronize connected devices. High accuracy of the product is guaranteed by the internal precision clock device, which synchronizes with the navigation system, receiving accurate data. Further, the software of the complex receives data on the current state of time on all connected devices. If deviations are detected, a control signal is transmitted, which corrects the readings. Special attention is paid to determining the signal delay. This parameter is taken into account in the correction, so all devices connected to the server have the same time.
