The binary signal acquisition device USDD-24.AS-01 is an equipment that monitors the status of circuit breakers connected to it. Connection is realized by means of 27 discrete inputs and RS-485 port. Checking the state of circuit breakers occurs when a corresponding request is received from a third-party device. USDD-24.AS works as part of Automated Information and Measuring System of Commercial Energy Metering (AIMSCEM) and in automated monitoring systems. Device control is implemented through a special configurator program.
Installation procedure
CAUTION: If signals with dangerous voltage are connected to the device, all installation work must be carried out with the power supply disconnected.
- Use the project documentation for the monitoring system during installation and commissioning.
- Mount the device on a DIN rail.
- Connect the device with other modules using the RS-485 interface cable (RS-485 pin location is specified in the operation manual).
- Power the device only via RS-485 interface, 5 V DC voltage source.
- Connect the device inputs with circuit breakers or contactors according to the project documentation for the monitoring system.
- Configure the device in accordance with the recommendations given in the Operator’s Manual for the software “Configurator USDD-24AS”.
