Product purpose

Measurement (maintenance) of current time and date values with synchronization by signals of global navigation satellite systems and output of current date/time values via network interfaces.

Scope of application

Exact time server is designed to function as part of automated information and measurement systems of commercial electricity metering (AIMSCEM) for synchronization of current time and date values, as well as for synchronization of time scales of communication base stations and security systems at security and industrial facilities.

Mounting and dismounting

Persons having qualification group on electrical safety not lower than the third one, who have passed the training course and received the corresponding certificate are allowed to install, adjust and maintain the product. Installation of the product should be carried out in the premises of industrial enterprises having an atmosphere free of chemically active and aggressive vapors and conductive dust, with dust content not exceeding 3 mg/m, in places protected from direct sunlight and water. Typical is to place the product in a heated room in a special cabinet. The case of the product is designed for installation in 19” rails of the telecommunication cabinet. After the product is installed, external connection cables are brought to it. The cables are mounted with screw clamps. Installation of the remote unit with the receiver is carried out outdoors, taking into account that the antenna mounting point provides visibility of the sky with an angle of at least 60 degrees. The mounting holes of the receiver are accessible after removing the cover. The product contains embedded software based on the Linux software family. Four interfaces are available to configure the unit:

  • Via the front panel.
  • Via WEB interface for configuration and management.
  • Via SNMP protocol.

It should be noted that the most detailed configuration is possible only through the WEB-interface.
