Data acquisition, processing and transmission controllers PUMA 30.05 are designed to collect and transmit data on energy resources consumption from primary converters – energy meters, as well as to monitor the status and control modes of equipment of a remote object. Controllers are used for construction of Automated Information and Measuring Systems of Commercial Energy Metering (AIMSCEM) and other energy resources, as well as for construction of monitoring systems, dispatching, status monitoring and control modes of equipment of remote object. The controller can be customized with extended temperature range (from minus 20 ºC to plus 55 ºC).

Controller reader is an electronic device that operates according to a certain algorithm. It can function independently and with the use of external control. It is a simplified computer, which includes RAM, permanent memory, microprocessors, interface for receiving data.

Principle of operation

The device functions as follows

  • receives the necessary information from the reader;
  • processes it;
  • generates a control signal;
  • transmits it to the executing device.

Depending on the programmed design can perform a large number of useful actions. For example, the controller reader with a temperature sensor allows you to regulate different processes that are associated with temperature processing. They are effectively used for ventilation systems, hot water supply, refrigeration systems, heating, emergency, fire alarm systems.

Features

A modern temperature controller with a sensor performs the following functions:

  • indication of the operation of a particular device;
  • demonstration of current data;
  • display of the values set by the settings;
  • emergency warning.

Most models are characterized by ease of installation, high accuracy of information, regulation.

Operating principle of the device:

  • The controller is a device made in a rugged plastic case. Inside the case there is a board with microcontroller, memory device, GSM and/or UMTS modem, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, USB, SPI and CAN interface node, power supply unit;
  • connectors for connecting interface cables are located outside the case. LED indicators show power supply to the controller and its operation and data transmission via GSM and/or UMTS modem;
  • configuration, control of the converter operation is possible only with the use of a personal computer connected via RS232 interface;
  • the controller collects data from meters and sensors and controls GSM modem operation. The power supply unit ensures the operation of the device from a DC source. The controller communicates with the CPU via GSM and/or UMTS modem via cellular communication channel (SMS, CSD, GPRS);
  • serial interfaces RS232, RS485, Ethernet, GSM modem are used for data exchange between the CPU and external equipment connected to the device;
  • internal clock of the controller is used for fixing the time of critical events and fixing the counter readings. Clock accuracy is ensured by adaptive correction during time synchronization from the server;
  • synchronization of the controller’s clock is performed automatically from the server with the period set during controller parameterization or can be performed by the operator on request at any time. The accuracy of the controller clock is ensured provided that a time synchronization device of an approved type is connected to the server with a clock error not worse than 0.2 s/day. The time synchronization interval must be set at least once a day;
  • the controller design allows it to be placed in electrical wiring cabinets;
  • the front panel of the controller has the following inscriptions: device type, modification, marking of power connectors and ports, designation of LED indicators.
