It runs autonomously from its built-in battery for more than 5 days (at least 120 hours), so a site can be surveyed day and night without mains power.

The device constantly records NMEA packets from the GNSS receiver, the current system time, and the difference in the PPS signal fronts from the GNSS receiver and the internal generator.

What the Analyzer Is For

Before installing an exact time server or any GNSS-dependent equipment, you need to know whether the antenna position actually receives stable satellite signals. Buildings, metal structures, radio interference and a limited view of the sky can make reception unreliable — and the problem only shows up after the system is in operation. The analyzer answers this question in advance: it is placed at the planned antenna location and records reception quality over several days.

What It Records

  • NMEA data from the GNSS receiver — satellites in view and their signal levels for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou.
  • System time of each record.
  • PPS offset — the difference between the PPS pulse from the GNSS receiver and the analyzer’s internal generator. This shows how stable the time signal would be at this location.

How a Site Survey Works

  • Install the antenna at the planned location and connect it to the analyzer; set the antenna supply voltage (0, 5, 9 or 12 V DC) in the software.
  • Switch the analyzer on — it runs autonomously for up to 120 hours.
  • Connect to the analyzer over Ethernet and download the log files via SCP (for example, with WinSCP).
  • Analyze the logs in the GNSS-Analyzer.Soft.JCOM software and choose the final antenna position.

Typical Applications

  • Site surveys before installing exact time servers (for example, JCOM IoT STV-01) and PTP/NTP equipment.
  • Telecom sites and data centers where time synchronization depends on GNSS.
  • Power substations and industrial facilities with GNSS-based time references.
  • Investigating unstable reception or synchronization faults at an operating site.

الأسئلة الشائعة

Which satellite systems does the analyzer support?

GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou.

How long can it record on battery?

At least 120 hours — more than 5 days of continuous recording on the built-in LiFePO4 24 V 36 Ah battery.

How do I get the recorded data?

Connect the analyzer over Ethernet and download the log files via SCP (for example, with WinSCP). The device is configured through its web interface.

Is it a replacement for a time server?

No. The analyzer is a survey and diagnostic tool. It shows whether a location is suitable for a GNSS antenna; the exact time itself is then provided by a time server such as STV-01.

Do you deliver to the UAE and Saudi Arabia?

Yes. We ship from our warehouse in Dubai across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and worldwide, with full export documentation.
