The Impulse NTP digital clock is a network-synchronized LED wall clock for server rooms, data centers, production floors and offices. It receives exact time from an NTP server over LAN, Wi-Fi or PoE and never needs manual adjustment — every clock in the facility shows the same time, accurate to milliseconds.In NTP (Network Time Protocol) based clocking systems, all Impulse clocks are secondary clocks. They reproduce the time according to the signal received from the time servers (NTP synchronization). In the digital LED clock, the time and date are displayed alternately on 4- or 6-digit indicators:

• 4 digits | time: hours and minutes; date: day and month
• 6 digits | time: hours, minutes and seconds; date: day, month and year

Secondary digital clocks with NTP protocol can be connected to a single time system via a local area network (LAN): the clocks have an Ethernet communication interface. The index in the marking is ETN-NTP. Connection of the electronic clock Impulse with NTP protocol to the local network is realized through a standard RJ45 connector, with outdoor models installed in a reliable waterproof connector with protection class IP68. It is possible to connect the clock to a local network via wireless Wi-Fi (in this case, wired Ethernet connection is not supported).

How NTP Synchronization Works

An NTP time server — for example, the JCOM IoT exact time server STV-01 with a GNSS receiver — distributes reference time over your local network. Each Impulse clock receives time from the server and corrects its display automatically, without manual adjustment. You can connect any number of clocks to one server, so every room, floor and building shows identical time.

Do I need an NTP server for these clocks?

Yes. The clocks take time from any NTP server on your network. For an isolated network or a facility that needs certified accuracy, use a GNSS-based exact time server such as the JCOM IoT STV-01.

Can the clock be powered over PoE?

Yes, PoE is available as an option. One network cable then provides both data and power, so no separate socket is needed at the installation point.

How many clocks can be connected to one system?

Any number. Each clock synchronizes with the NTP server independently, so you can add clocks to new rooms or buildings at any time.

Is a Wi-Fi version available?

Yes. The clock can connect to the network over Wi-Fi; in this version the wired Ethernet connection is not supported.

Can the clock be installed outdoors?

Yes. Outdoor models have a waterproof network connector with IP68 protection. Tell us the installation site and we will recommend a suitable model and digit size.
