NB-IoT Smart Water Meter Module for Remote Reading
The JCOM IoT NB-IoT smart water meter module turns a standard cold or hot water meter into a connected metering point. It reads the meter automatically and transmits data directly through cellular NB-IoT networks — no gateways, repeaters or local infrastructure required. This makes it a practical choice for utilities, housing operators and Smart City projects that need reliable readings from thousands of meters, including those installed in basements and meter shafts.
The water meter module is designed for installation on universal cold and hot water meters. The module provides reading of data from the meter, with subsequent data transmission via networks of cellular operators NB- IoT. The module is installed on the meter in a place specially designed for this purpose. After that the module is sealed. The meter with the module can be used: – as part of automated information and measurement systems for commercial resource metering, – as part of monitoring and dispatching systems, – as part of Smart City projects – as part of IoT (Internet of Things) projects.
